The Surrey Rams Basketball club has teamed up with Active Surrey to offer FREE Activities/Childcare and hot lunches during the festive period 2021.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE HAF - SURREY RAMS MULTI-SPORTS CHRISTMAS CAMP?

The Surrey Rams aim is to offer our service to the community of Guildford, inclusive of candidates age, gender or ethnicity. We believe every child in the community should have a memorable Christmas filled with fun, making new friends while being physically active in a safe, and structured environment.


As stated, the course in inclusive and girls and boys aged 10-15(SCHOOL YEARS 5 - YEAR 10) are welcome.


In light of the current Covid-19 climate we have condensed the course in a 4 hour day. While also limiting the numbers of daily enrolment to keep in line with the government guidelines for sports indoor/outdoor activity.


SURREY RAMS MULTI-SPORTS ACTIVITY CONTENT (What is on offer for candidates enrolling in course?)


The Rams multi-sports activity program will be based around fun multisport games (primarily Basketball) and team building challenges. However, during the day, candidates will be offered a chance to also get involved in different sporting and enrichment activities (football, drama, arts and craft).


IS MY CHILD ELIGIBLE?


Please note, candidates who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) are able to register to the HAF Multi-Sports Camp for free.

Candidates registration should also be completed at least 2 days in advance.

Once registered, Parents/Guardians will receive confirmation, and in addition, you will be sent a food menu form to complete enrolment.

The food menu will offer main meal, desert and drink option.

The Activity club can include a choice of:

•Basketball •Football •Nerf Games •Dodgeball •Frisbee •Arts and Crafts •Benchball

Location: Ash Manor Sports Centre, Manor Road, Ash, Surrey, GU12 6HQ


Times: 10:00 - 14:00 (Drop offs from 09:45 - 10:00) ***PLEASE NOTE SPACES ARE LIMITED TO 40 CAMPERS A DAY, WE WOULD ADVISE REGISTERING EARLY TO AVOID DISAPOINTMENTS***


WHAT DOES CANDIDATES NEED TO BRING?


WHO WILL COACH/ LOOK AFTER CANDIDATES? Our experienced coaches endeavor to to put fun as a priority to all campers, whilst ensuring the campers are in a safe environment. Our Rams coaches bring a professional approach to keep campers engaged. Our coaches are: • Qualified in First Aid • Basketball England Level 3 and 2 qualified • Hold DBS certificates • Child protection trained
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

Parents/Guardians can rest assure that the Surrey Rams club have put in the following measures to further combat the spread of the virus:


Before the start of the camp day, campers will have to take a temperature check with an infra-red temperature checker. If a camper’s temperature reading is above the threshold, he/she will not be able participate in the camp. Our designated Covid-19 officer/coach will do this before campers enter the School.
