Welcome to the Surrey Rams U12 Programme

Our U12 programme provides young players with the opportunity to learn, develop and enjoy basketball through Basketball England National League and Central Venue League (CVL) competitions.

The programme focuses on developing strong basketball fundamentals, confidence, teamwork and a love for the game while preparing players to progress through the Surrey Rams pathway.

2026–27 Teams

The U12 programme consists of:

• U12 National League

• U12 Surrey CVL

• U12 Farnborough CVL

Players are placed into teams based on ability, commitment, attitude and long-term player development. Team placements may be reviewed during the season where appropriate.

Season Expectations

• Attend all scheduled training sessions wherever possible.

• Respond promptly to match availability requests through Teamo.

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before training and matches.

• Wear appropriate Surrey Rams training kit.

• Represent Surrey Rams with respect, commitment, effort and professionalism both on and off the court.

Competition

The U12 programme provides competitive opportunities across:

• Basketball England National League

• Surrey Central Venue League (CVL)

• Farnborough Basketball League

• Pre-season tournaments and friendly fixtures

Squad Size & Match Selection

The U12 National League squad consists of 12 players.

National League players are selected for fixtures based on:

• Attendance

• Attitude

• Effort

• Coachability

• Availability

• Team requirements

Players who are not selected for a National League fixture will normally be offered one Surrey CVL fixture free of charge where available.

Coaching Team

The U12 programme is delivered by an experienced coaching team working together across all squads.
