U16 NL Prem

Welcome to the Surrey Rams U16 Programme.

Our U16 programme provides players with the opportunity to develop, compete and enjoy basketball through Basketball England National League and Central Venue League (CVL) competitions.

For the 2026–27 season, the U16 programme includes:

• U16 National League Premier (Rams I)

• U16 National League Conference (Rams II)

• U16 National League Conference (Rams III)

• U16 Surrey CVL Cadets

• U16 Surrey CVL Gold

• U16 Farnborough CVL

Players are selected into teams based on ability, commitment, attitude and long-term development. Team placements may be reviewed throughout the season to support player development and provide the appropriate level of challenge.

Season Expectations

• Attend all scheduled training sessions wherever possible.

• Respond promptly to match availability requests through Teamo.

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before training and matches.

• Wear appropriate Surrey Rams training kit.

• Represent Surrey Rams with respect, commitment, effort and professionalism both on and off the court.

Competition

The U16 programme competes across:

• Basketball England National League Premier

• Basketball England National League Conference

• Surrey Central Venue League (CVL)

• Farnborough Basketball League

• Basketball England National Cup (where applicable)

• Pre-season tournaments and friendly fixtures

Coaching Team

The U16 programme is supported by an experienced coaching team working together to provide a consistent player development pathway across all U16 teams.

• National League Conference II – Coach Sheldon, Coach Charlie and Coach Olivier

• Surrey CVL – Coaches Charlie, Lekan and Sheldon
